Mission
Mane In Heaven is a recognized 501©(3) non-profit organization that provides therapeutic benefits to disabled and able-bodied children and adults through animal-assisted activity and therapy visits with miniature horses leading to improved outcomes of physical, mental, emotional well-being.
Our all-volunteer staff and our adorable “minis” will visit nursing homes, schools, hospitals, libraries, veteran facilities, etc. Sessions will includes watching, petting, brushing, hugging and loving our minis. The horse-person interaction will be a source of joy due to the unconditional love of our gentle horses.
Click on the link below for a short video, “Moment by Moment,” which shows why we will provide these visits. While most people traditionally think of dogs as therapy animals, you will see several other animals at visits including horses. Thank you to Pet Partners (formerly Delta Society) for showing us glimpses of the love and healing powers that our amazing minis will provide!
