Mane In Heaven is a recognized 501©(3)non-profit organization that provides therapeutic benefits to disabled and able-bodied children and adults through animal-assisted activity and therapy visits with miniature horses leading to improved outcomes of physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Our all-volunteer staff and our adorable “minis” visit nursing homes, schools, hospitals, libraries, veteran facilities, etc. We provide activity visits (fun, promotional) and therapy visits (goal-directed) based on the needs of those we visit.
Why miniature horses? WHY NOT! Miniature horses make phenomenal comfort animals and are very kind and gentle with the proper training. People continuously comment about the gentle and low-key nature of our horses.
What are “visits?” They involve an exchange of unconditional love between our horses and those we visit. People watch, pet, brush, hug and take many pictures with our loving minis. Our horses evoke emotional and spiritual connections and love, joy, laughter and MANY smiles are present at every visit.
Click on the link below for an updated short video of Mane in Heaven visits. While most people traditionally think of dogs as therapy animals, you will see that our miniature therapy horses are amazing comfort horses. Thank you to Scott Drucker for the amazing videography and production of this video so we can show glimpses of the love and healing powers that our horses provide.
